How LKC Accessories Got Started
When I was in Middle School I was introduced to the idea of making a simple bag out of duct tape at a program at my local library. Soon after I made my mom rush me to the craft store to buy as much duct tape as I could so I could experiment with new designs, styles and patterns. As I continued to work with this material I soon was able to make a well polished, usable product in a short amount of time. By this point I had created wallets and bags and after getting encouragement from my friends and family, I started my very own business named after my initials L.K.C.
I have sold my accessories in a store on Long Island and currently have a store on Etsy.com. To check it out simply click on the Shop category at the top of the page. If you wish to see some of the things I have made over the years or if you want to see the types of accessories I can custom make for you you can check out the gallery.
After remembering how much I loved the library program where I was first introduced to colored duct tape, I decided to offer my services teaching tweens and teens how to make their very own customized accessories. I've run library programs at multiple libraries and a few birthday parties. In the future I hope to expand into doing girl scout meetings. If you live in Suffolk County on Long Island and would like to find out more about my party service please check out the party section above.
